Jubilee Party has kicked out eight members of its National Executive Committee Council after a meeting that was held on 7th of November 2023.
“Indeed even the Constitution of Kenya 2010, Chapter 6 on Leadership and Integrity section 77, explicitly bars all state officials from holding any office in a political party. In this regard and by operation of law, the following Jubilee Party National Executive Members who have been appointed to and accepted various positions in government are deemed to have resigned from their positions in the party leadership,’’ party’s Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni stated.
Among those replaced includes Joshua Kutuny,Naomi Shaban,Jimmy Angwenyi among others.

The Changes
Beatrice Gambo has replaced Naomi Shaban Deputy party leader (Outreach) Yasir Noor has taken over from Joshua Kutuny as deputy Secretary General.Hon Kados Muiruri is the new deputy party leader (strategy) replacing Angwenyi Jimmy Ondieki.
Joshua Kuttuny was appointed by President Willaim Ruto as Chairperson Kenya Copy Right Board in political raid in former ruling party.
Nelson Dzuya, Jubilee’s chairperson was appointed as a member of the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board in a gazette notice dated October 12.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 (1) (b) of the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration appoints– to be a member of the Non-Governmental Organization Coordination Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from October 13, 2023.’’ Gazette notice reads in Dzuya appointment.
The seven NEC members have been in the Kanini Kega and Sabina Chege faction of Jubilee that has been wrestling for the soul of the troubled party with the Kioni faction.
They include three deputy party leaders, Naomi Shaban, Jimmy Angwenyi, and Peter Mositet who deputized Uhuru. They have been appointed to serve as chairpersons of the Tobacco Control Board, National Heroes Council Board and Nairobi Metropolitan Board respectively.
