The Jubilee Party has announced that it will not field any candidate in the by elections of Matungu Constituency, Kabuchai constituency and Machakos county.
The seats fell vacant after the two MPs and senator died out of various illnesses.
Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju has however stated that the party will field a candidate in the Nairobi by elections scheduled for next month.
According to Tuju the party came to the conclusion of not fielding candidates the three major seats in its bid to drum up support for BBI and also unite Kenyans.
The party will however field candidates at the Hells Gate Ward in Nakuru, London Ward and Huruma ward in Uasin Gishu.
“The party decision is not to participate in the by election occasioned by the unfortunate deaths in parliament of senator for Machakos, parliamentary seat of Matungu and that of Kabuchai. We are currently enjoying a period of constructive engagement with the Wiper Party, ODM and ANC and other parties especially with Building Bridges Initiative for all Kenyans to see” said Tuju.
“We have deliberated on a cross section of issues that concern our country at large and some specificities on the Jubilee Party parliament and the forth coming election,” said Tuju.
