“I want to sort out the mess we have seen in Nairobi and that the noise we have seen will be normal. We want to ensure that businesses have a conducive environment to work out especially Gikomba Market where we will look at water and sanitation which is a problem. I will also put in a task force to come up with a report within 20 days and tell us exactly the problem they are facing,” said Ngatia.

“We will also have a fire station within gikomba because of the constant fires within the area. We will also ensure that we have cameras to monitor the market so as to get the main problem and solution,” Ngatia said.

Jubilee party Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni said that the party has endorsed Ngatia as the jubilee gubernatorial candidate.

He also stated that the party believes in Ngatia to lead Nairobi compared to the previous leaders.

“It is the joy of every political party to receive candidates or aspirants. It is even more joyful when you receive candidates of quality. Today, as the Secretary General of Jubilee I am delighted to receive the papers of Richard Ngatia and I have listened to what he has said and knowing where we are coming from as a people, as a county, as Nairobi dwellers you can actually see the stark difference between the previous management and what we are now putting on the table,” Kioni said.
