Jubilee party Vice Chairman David Murathe has slammed Muranga Senator Irungu Kang’ata for what he termed as misleading the nation on BBI when he indicated that the  bill was not popular in the Central  region.

Murathe says Kang’ata was not honest enough and that his own village Murang’a voted unanimously to pass the bill.

‘‘I don’t understand senator Kang’ata on how he changes his positions, he has been on radios, TVs  saying that the MCAs were Compromised to pass the BBI. I want to say this is not true because most of this MCAs have vehicles, so demeaning them to that level is uncalled for. Kang’ata himself started off as an MCA and Murang’a his own village voted 53 -0 votes on BBI,’’ Murathe said.

He further defended Baringo Senator Gideon Moi over rejection of the bill at Baringo county saying proper procedures were followed and a number of MCAs did not attend the sitting.

‘‘Baringo is special most of the MCAs did not participate in the exercise some were held up in  areas where there were challenges of insecurity like in Tiaty,  no MCA participated and there was no conclusion…. as we talk it’s only Nandi that said no to BBI and by the way almost a half agreed with it,’’ he added.
