Stake Not Yet Stated
Every competition normally lays out what at stake in crowning the moment, the Hennessy rap challenge is yet to reveal what the most valuable players will take home apart from being part of the cypher challenge.
We hope some bucks are available like we witnessed in the recently concluded Khaligraph Odibet Rap Challenge which saw the overall winner – Katapilla becoming a millionaire. It also had daily winner’s pocketing 10,000 each.
Though it attracted a lot of controversy with speculations of favoritism it was a sure way of giving the hip hop world a deserving kick. Also not clear is the criteria used in picking the king of bars, metaphors and punchlines.
No panel has been named to be behind the selection process.
We hope all will go down well as another boost to the rap world. Long Live Hip hop.
