Former Real Madrid Star Kaka, 41 says he did everything he could to avoid the split, because of his strong religious values.
This comes after Kaka’s ex-wife, Caroline Celico, recently revealed she divorced the AC Milan legend because she believed him to be ‘too perfect’ for her.

Kaka Breaks Silence

In a recent podcast reported by Spanish outlet ,the former Real Madrid and Orlando City star said:
“In 2015, while I was living in the United States, my wife decided she didn’t want to be married anymore,”
“She expressed her unhappiness with our marriage, saying she wanted to return to Brazil and no longer wanted to be married.”
Additionally He says it was a hard period for him as a Christian “I did everything I could to prevent the divorce from happening because that’s where the Christian’s conflict arises,” he said.
Celico, previously explained their decision to part ways, saying, “Kaka never betrayed me. He treated me well, gave me a wonderful family, but something was missing. The problem was, he was too perfect for me.”
After their split in December 2015, Kaka struggled to deal with the divorce, as it conflicted with his Christian values.
He said: “I stayed single for a year, trying to assimilate the situation and deal with it as a Christian, seeking guidance from pastors.”
He began dating current partner, Brazilian model Carolina Dias, in 2017, with their engagement announced earlier this year.
They also have a one-year-old daughter together.
