More than 50 residents living in Kayole in Patanisho area Nairobi, are in fear of eviction after an unknown group of people invaded their land and started demarcating undeveloped pieces of land.

The threats from the group have left the residents in fear of security of their families, saying that they have not been at peace after the group started demarcating the land and putting up structures illegally.

‘’we have tried to complain, but nobody is there to hear us, so we are pleading to the government, the way we have seen from other places how those grabbers are being handled, we want to appeal to our President, Deputy and the governor of Nairobi, we know all this are happening without their knowledge, but right now we are raising the alarm to let them know, because they are using the name of Nairobi county government for the eviction,”one of the residents said.
“We want to tell them that we are going to visit all the offices. Since they have been spreading rumors that we do not have document of the land, we have the allotments here, they should go to the county government and verify our document which are legit, but we won’t step aside and we are going to fight up to the highest offices.’’

Threats from Unknown Group
When the residents approached the said group, the residents say that the unknown group threatened to evacuate all of them as they have connections from the city hall and the national government.

They are now pleading with the national government and the county government to help them before the situation turns ugly.
