Kayole Youth Fears For His Life After Rogue Officers Arrest, Torture Him

A young man from Nairobi’s Kayole area has narrated a harrowing tale in the hands of rogue police officers in the area.

Samuel Kamau says that he was arrested by police officers in Soweto area while at a bus stop after visiting his mother.

Kamau says the officers took him up, covered his face with a reflector jacket then bundled him in the boot of a probox car.

“They drove me to the police station and started demanding that I give them the gun that I had. A claim that I did not understand the source,” said Kamau.

“Upon resisting, they started slapping me and giving me all manner of kicks and hitting me with sticks,” said Kamau.

Kaomau says that at some point they handcuffed his hands on a table inside the cell at the Soweto Police Station.

After failing to get any information from him, the officers then drove him to the DO’s office where he says that he was detained for five days.

“All this time I had not been booked in any police station. So I stayed there for five days then I was taken to Buruburu Police Station.”

The bodaboda rider claims that the rogue officers had also demanded that he gives them Ksh. 100,000 before they released him.

He was however later on released for free without any charges.

He is now fearing for his life adding that the officers might result to killing him.
