The government has announced that the youth under the Kazi Mitaani initiative will receive their pay soon.
Speaking to Ghetto Radio new, Mathare deputy county Commissioner Jacob Mwaura says the disbursement process has been hit by various challenges.
According to Mwaura some of the youth enrolled in the program did not give their correct contact information while those who did not have mobile phones did not leave any next of kin information.
“We have received complaints about the payments but it’s because some people did not give correct contacts. Some gave us the numbers of their friends; others gave the wrong ID numbers. We have since rectified and harmonized our records and we hope to clear the payments by end of Friday.” He said
Mwaura added that the once whose details were correct have already received their payment.
