KCB Bank Kenya Sponsors CAVB High Performance Coaching Seminar

KCB Bank Kenya has on Monday 25th February 2019 announced their sponsorship of kshs 2 million towards the staging of 5th edition of Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) coaches’ seminar.

The continental event brings together 40 international and 30 local coaches for three days of high performance training.

The event will take place in Kenya from 1st – 5th March 2019 at the KCB leadership center in Karen Nairobi.

KCB Group Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Judith Sidi Odhiambo said the seminar is imperative for the growth of the sports in Africa;

“As KCB Bank Kenya, we are delighted to spearhead the process of improving the continental volleyball standards to enable us compete fairly with other global volleyball giants”, said Judith.

Kenya Volleyball Federation Chairman Mr. Waithaka Kioni lauded KCB for their sports sponsorship novelty in volleyball in the region.

“We are grateful to KCB Bank Kenya for their support in volleyball over the year’s. This seminar is necessary for upping the skills of our coaches with new coaching methodologies and systems”, said Waithaka.

The participants are expected to jet into the country on Friday afternoon ahead of the events opening ceremony on Saturday morning at the KCB leadership centre. The seminar will be run on Saturday, Sunday and Monday with varied sessions.

FIVB Italian top instructor Mauro Berruto and CAVB Coaches Commission President Sherif El Shemerly will instruct and direct the 3-day high performance coaching seminar.

The 70 coaches are drawn from Kenya, Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon Congo, Egypt, Malawi, Mauritius, Morocco, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda among other countries.
