KCB RFCKCB RFC has officially won the 2016 Enterprise Cup in a late afternoon showdown staged at RFUEA Grounds on Saturday 18 June.

National Sevens Captain Andrew Amonde inspired the team to a well desired victory.

Front row George Asin restored the Lion’s pride with an unconverted try to slice the lead to 7-5. KCB continued with great attacking  with back to back tries from Oscar Simiyu, that were followed by sure extras by Billy Isabwa and Michael Wanjala to lead 19-12.

Andrew Amonde returned to the team after the international exploits with a final try for KCB to lead 24-12 going to the break.

It was a grueling battle that saw KCB lions win 24-12 against Kabras Sugar, managing to defend their title in the Enterprise Cup Final held at the RFUEA grounds today.

“It has been a great season of intense training and the result was seen in the field. Bringing the cup home, is a great bonus; Our players laid it all down in the game and win or lose, I am proud to be a part of such a determined and ardent team.” said Head Coach Curtis  Olago.

Captain Andrew Amonde lauded the team on the victory. “it was a well-deserved victory, a testament of  hard work,.

Oscar Simiyu proved to be the best player in today’s game, winning the man of the match award, pushing through five Kabras players, and scoring a try at the 40th minute.

“It is a privilege to receive such a prestigious award. I would like to dedicate this win to my fellow teammates for a game well played. We put our hearts on the field today, and are happy to defend our title and do KCB proud”, he said.
