Kenya 7s team to Rio Unveiled



Five players who made their debuts for the Kenya Sevens this season – Frank Wanyama of Harlequins, Nelson Oyoo of Topfry Nakuru, Jeff Oluoch and Alvin Otieno of Homeboyz plus  Impala Saracens’ Sammy Oliech have all made the shortlist.

The World Series top try scorer Collins Injera of Mwamba and Harlequins flyer Willy Ambaka both of whom featured in all ten World Series events this year are part of the squad.

Humphrey Kayange who was part and parcel of the panel that made a campaign to get rubgy back at the Olympics, as well as the man whose late try against Zimbabwe in the qualifiers that got Kenya to the Olympics David Ombuchi , are also in.

Bush Mwale who featured in all the World Series legs last season, and the first four this year before being kept out by injury, team mates Augustine Lugonzo, Leonard Mugaisi and Jeff Oluoch, as well as Biko Adema, Oscar Ouma, Billy Odhiambo and skipper Andrew Amonde complete the squad.
