The Kenya Kwanza coalition has today unveiled its five member dialogue team.

This move comes in response to the recent revelation of the opposition’s Azimio la Umoja coalition’s dialogue team.

The Kenya Kwanza dialogue team comprises notable leaders, including National Assembly Leader of Majority Kimani Ichungwah, Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot, Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire, Hassan Omar, and Bungoma Woman Representative Catherine Wambilianga.

They will coordinate with the opposition’s team, led by Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

This follows a truce between President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga after a series of anti government protests over the high cost of living.

Issues of Importance

The Kenya Kwanza Coalition’s focus will be on discussing the reconstitution of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the establishment and entrenchment of the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and the Office of the Leader of the Opposition, the implementation of the two-thirds gender rule, and the entrenchment of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) while Azimio have highlighted cost of living as its priority.
