According to reports Gor-Mahia Secretary General Sam Ochola has said that they haven’t received official communication from CAF and Football Kenya Federation.
It was reported that the Kenya Premier League Champions have been kicked out of the CAF Champions League for failing to meet CAF Club Licensing Rules.
Consequentially, the continent’s football governing body has order Football Kenya Federation (FKF) to revoke Gor’s license.
It followed a CAF circular issued by CAF regarding the club licensing process and requisite criterion.
According to Club licensing for any club to participle in both Champions League and Confederation Cup, they must adhere to the new set of rules.
CAF had issued a club-licensing checklist that every club must comply with by June 30 including the requirement for clubs to have an active women’s football team.
The system requires clubs to commit to minimum standards and principles in five key areas, sporting, infrastructure, personnel and administrative, legal and financial.
