Kenya has floored their Ethiopian counterparts 11 goals to 1 in the just kicked off COPA Coca-Cola Africa Cup Of Nations tournament.
Jacob Onyango scored four goals and Issa Rashidi a hattrick as Kenya beat Ethiopia 11-1 in the opening match of the Copa Coca-Cola Africa Cup at Nakuru High School.
Ethiopia’s consolation goal came from Evali Tsegaye.
The inaugural tournament will see at least 12 countries from across Africa participate.
Christened the ‘New Dawn’ in the COPA Coca-Cola annual tournaments, the championship is modelled to liken the Africa Cup of Nations which will be held in Cameroon in 2019.
Nigeria are up against Zambia at 12.30 while girls competition sees Kenya play Zimbabwe at 2pm.
The tournament’s final will be this Saturday.
Kenya’s next match is against Botswana on Wednesday.
