Kenya To Host Currie Cup For The First Time

Kenya Rugby Union will for the first time be hosting The Carling Currie Cup 1st division match in Nairobi between The Simbas and The Leopards of South Africa.

Both teams are looking foward to a very tough game considering that The Leopards are the defending champions of the previous Currie Cup tournament.

“I can assure the fans that they are in for a treat of a lifetime for 15s rugby,”said Kenya Rugby Union chairman Oduor Gangla ahead of the

The Simbas have shown massive improvement in their set piece and defence since they went to South Africa in the beginning of April and have been scoring a lot of points in most of their games.


“As we build to the World Cup qualifiers, we are very confident,” continued  Gangla.

We are getting into a very critical period of the last leg to consolidate the gains then have a final push to their next matches at the end of June.

The Simbas are well prepared and the rugby fans should expect a high-octane experience this coming Saturday at the RFUEA grounds along Ngong Road.
