Eliot Matazo born in Belgium to a Congolese father and a Kenyan mother has turned down representing the Harambee Stars.

He is a youth international for Belgium having played up to the Belgium under 21s.

He’s admitted that he is looking forward to representing his Belgium National senior team

He has featured for Belgium Under 16, 18 and under 21 teams and He is looking forward to join the senior team.

Hopes were high in Kenya his Mother’s birth land that he would choose to play for Harambee stars

He says he’s looking forward to join the national team and was aware that the new National team coach Domenico Tedeso was keeping close tabs on him.

The 25-year-old began his career at 31x Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. He has also previously featured for Bonner SC, SV Heimstetten and Augsburg II.

2016/2017 season, the highly-rated defensive midfielder helped Bayern Munich to finish second in the Under 19 Bundesliga title race.

Matazo’s mother is from Nyanza region.
