Omon As A Physiotherapist

Omon’s journey into sports medicine began during his high school years when occasional knee pain sparked his interest in sports rehabilitation.

“I was an amateur back then when in high school. I would get occasional knee pain and I could figure out how to manage it,from this I started to get interested in physiotherapy.I decided that I would be a physiotherapist,”Omon narrated.

 

Recognizing the critical need for specialized care in sports injuries, he went deeper into the field, eventually finding his calling as a physiotherapist at Mathare United FC.

With notable stints at Mathare United FC, Kenya Police, and the prestigious Harambee Stars, Omon honed his skills and earned a reputation as a trusted figure in Kenyan football.

His dedication to player welfare and passion for sports medicine fueled his ambition to leave a lasting impact in the football industry in Kenya.

Transitioning to Simba FC, Omon embraced a new environment characterized by state of the art facilities and a vibrant football culture.

The club’s international stature brought with it an unparalleled energy ,displaying unmatched enthusiasm and support for the team.It shows stark contrast to the more subdued football scene in Kenya.

Comparing Kenya football to Tanzanian ,he pointed out that the intensity of the games in Tanzania is high considering the team being an international team.
“Both sides are intense although Tanzania is tight due to many competitions the team participate in both locally and internationally,”Omon pointed out.

Preparations for CAF Champions League

In preparation for the upcoming quarter finals at CAF champions league,Omon says that he ensures all players are fit and in good health.They go through the right kinds of stretching,get massages and also do constant and consistent exercises.

He says that the team does not have  players with any major  injuries,hence players are very ready.He expects better performance into the semi finals as Simba FC is usually knocked out at quarter finals.

“There are no major injuries with the players as we approach the quarter finals against Al haly .I ensure that all players are fit and in good health.I expect better performance,”Omon pointed out.
