A section Youths and activists today held demonstrations to protest against the high cost of living in Nairobi.
The protesters matched from Nairobi’s Pangani area to the CBD to voice their frustrations on the high prices of commodities like sugar, unga, cooking oil and gas.
The protesters carried empty sufurias, plates and used packets of Unga to pass accross their message.
They accused leaders playing deaf to their concerns despite the previous protests.
““Our elected leaders have failed us and Kenyans are going through so much and that is why we are here to demand for the reduction of prices for basic commodities,” they claimed.
The past few weeks have seen the cost of foods skyrocket with the cost of Unga going from Ksh. 150 to Ksh. 210.
“What are our leaders doing to help us?” they posed.
