Kenyans Roast Naomi Campbell For The Second Time
By Steve Osaka
The newly appointed Kenya’s International Magical Brand Ambassador Naomi Campbell was on the receiving end for her lack of information on the Country’s music.
The super model who was unveiled recently by Tourism Minister Najib Balala amid backlash from a section of netizens who deemed her not fit for the position was at it once again.
A video of her surfaced online with the background music being from Nigerian something that Kenyans saw as offensive.
This triggered an online debate with many Kenyans calling her out for being ignorant.
Some accused of her of ignorance on the country she is purportedly supposed to be marketing.
Others even went ahead and edited the video putting a Kenyan background song.
Here are some of the reactions;
“Naomi Campbell is using a Nigerian song to market Kenya’s tourism in her latest video,” tweeted @DreyMwangi adding laughing emojis.
“So much I see wrong with this video. If this thing is voluntary then fine… but if it’s a paid ambassadorship, surely,” wrote Natalie Tewa.
“It’s laughable yes but sad. I mean, she’s the international ambassador for Kenya’s tourism! And being NAOMI F*** CAMPBELL, we really expected something better and not that. No. Katerina would have done a better job,” wrote @Sheeeeee_
“#NaomiCampbell just like other Europeans doesn’t know the difference between Kenya & Nigeria. Its the same please #KOT Don’t Crucify her for using @IamOlakira song to promote Brand Kenya BLAME @tunajibu for appointing her favorite,” wrote @AseweBinAsewe
