Kenya’s Beauty Queen Finishes Fifth Worldwide
Where are those hater countries who voted Kenyans as the most ugly people some time back? May they have several seats and choke on the ‘kiwaru’ because yesterday we got vindicated. In the just concluded Miss Universe, our very own Evelyn Njambi emerged among the top five most beautiful women in the world. How about that!
In the pool of beauties from all over the world, the intelligent and humble Evelyne stood out especially in the challenge events managing to be top five in both Beauty with a purpose and Top Model Challenges. She eventually became the fifth most beautiful girl in the world.
It would be interesting to note how she ended up being Kenya’s representative though. Roshanara Ebrahim who was the initial Miss Kenya was dethroned after Ashley’s said she had breached the code of conducts of the pageant. The embattled beauty queen who had her nude photos leaked by her ex lover attempted to regain her title by going to court but her case was thrown out due to lack of enough legal grounds to back her claims.
Evelyn Njambi who had been the 1st runner up was therefore automatically elevated to replace Roshanara. Talk about one’s misfortunes being someone elses Gold coin.
The well spoken diva has done us proud and as she comes home, we hope she will keep her head up and walk in dignity away from the controversies that mar most beauty queens.
