KFCB Bans Betting And Alcohol Advertisements
Kenya Film Classification Board has banned advertisements and commercials featuring sexually suggestive acts, alcoholic drinks and betting from being aired between 5 am and 10pm.
Addressing the media at their offices the board chief executive officer Ezekiel Mutua says sex and betting adds have direct negative influence to the country’s’ national values.
He say such adverts can impact negative to children and they infringe family moral values.
Mutua on the other hand cautioned advertisers to be more careful on religious aspects saying they have noticed ethics is not being observed.
The board however, promised to take stern legal action against those who will go contrary to those regulations.
