Khaligraph Jones nominated for this year’s BET Awards



Kenyan Rapper Brian Ouko Omollo popularly known as Khaligraph Jones has been nominated for this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards scheduled to for October 27, 2020.

Papa Jones who is the only East African nominated for the awards was nominated in the Best International Flow category where he will battle the likes of; Nasty C (South Africa), DJonga (Brazil), Kaaris (France), Meryl (France) Ms banks (UK) and Stormzy (UK).

Moments after receiving the news, Khaligraph took to social media to share with his fans saying he is a whole ‘Movement.’

“Yooooooooh, KHALIGRAPH JONES IS A MOVEMENT, My 1st Ever BET Nomination in The Best International Flow Category, The OG Shall be respected??? Cc @bet_africa @bet,”  he wrote

Fans and colleagues camped on his page to congratulate him for the nomination as well rally for votes.

This is the 15th Annual BET Hip Hop Awards, honoring the past year in hip hop music across 17 categories.

American star DaBaby who is the winner of the 2019 Hip Hop Awards under “Best New Hip Hop Artist,” leads this year’s nominations with 12 nominations. He is followed closely by Roddy Ricch who has 11 nominations.

Drake tied for third-most, at eight nods apiece, with Megan Thee Stallion, whose “Savage” remix with Beyoncé scored Queen Bey three nominations of her own.
