Sauti Sol’s Savara has teamed up with Khaligraph Jones, Maandy and Trio Mio in a new song dedicated to the fastest man in Africa, Ferdinand Omanyala.
The song rightfully named after Omanyala was released just hours after he had just clinched the first gold medal for Kenya in the 100 m at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.
Omanyala’s win meant Kenya secured a gold medal in the 100m in the Commonwealth Games for the first time since 1962.
The thrilled Omanyala applauded his performance and this is his statement after the heroic finish.

“I know it will sink in after some days, but it feels nice to lay my hands on this coveted crown and I am happy about it. My aim is to pave the way for many Kenyan sprinters and I know that I will inspire countless others to embrace the sprints,” the Kenyan record holder said.
One of the artists behind this tribute to Omanyala mentions that it felt right to honour him for the achievement and the glory he has brought to the country.
“Naikimbiza, nd’o unishike bro ungetoka jana! 💯🔥🔥🔥 Tribute to a true champion @ferdiomanyala,”wrote Trio Mio.
