Retired President Mwai Kibaki Laid To Rest

Retired President Mwai Kibaki was on Saturday laid to rest at his Othaya home in Nyeri County.

Kibaki who died last week was eulogised as a man who brought development and built the economy of Kenya.

To his family the former president was remembered as a man who valued education and always ensured that his children were independent.

At some point Jimmy Kibaki on a light note narrated how his father wanted him to get checked mentally for scoring a lower grade.

According to Jimmy, his father could not understand how someone could get a grade lower than B.

President Uhuru Kenyatta eulogised Kibaki as a great and selfless leader who put the interest of Kenya first.

Deputy President William Ruto Stated that Kenyans owe Kibaki a peaceful election that will not require handshake.

Raila Odinga narrated his relationship with Kibaki detailing how they both agreed to put the interest of Kenyans first after 2007/08 Post Election Violence.
