Famous Kibera graffiti artiste Solomon Muyundo alias Solo 7 is dead.
Solo 7 who made headlines during the post election violence in 2007 after sharing his messages of peace when the violence erupted.
News about his death was shared by singer Stevo Simple boy on social media.
“Ni huzuni kwamba tumepoteza Solo7,. Msanii aliyetumia talanta yake ya kuchora kuleta Amani Kibera wakati was ghasia za uchagizi miaka ya 2017 na 2013. Mumgu ailaze roho yake mahalo pema peponi” Stevo simple boy wrote
Solo 7’s spate of graffiti captured the attention of the international press, being featured by AP, DW and Reuters.
In 2015, Solo 7 was among the speakers at the Nairobi Peace Talks held at the United Nations Office.
The artist and peace campaigner estimated that he’d painted his art in over 4,000 location around Kibera.
The artiste’s cause of death is yet to be known.
