A wedding preparation at Kibera church has been halted after the bridegroom removed participants from a WhatsApp group.
The WhatsApp was meant for funds drive towards the weeding.
In a note to the WhatsApp group, a participant wrote;
“I’m hoping you are doing well this evening,On behalf of the groom and I, thank you for accepting to walk this journey with us.
I’m writing to inform you that the wedding has been postponed to unknown date which may be communicated or not. We will give back all the money you offered generously to support us. Thank you, and have a blessed night.”
Ghetto Radio learned that over Ksh 130000 had been contributed towards the weeding.
It is alleged that the man discovered that his fiancée was in love affairs with other three men.
It is not clear who among the duo opted to pull out of the band.
According to a member of the church involved who sort anonymity, no information about the cancellation has far been announced to the faithfuls.
He added that according to the church’s norms,all information within the church is reviewed by the church, which is the highest decision-making body in the church before it is announced to the adherents.
He however confirmed having information about the alleged cancellation from a WhatsApp group not linked to the church.
