Kibra Residents In Last Minute Rush To Get National IDs
Hundreds of Kibra residents are currently queuing at the Kibra Kwa DC grounds to get their ID cards in a last minute rush.
The residents says that they need the important document to enable them vote in the General Elections tomorrow.
Interviews conducted by Ghetto Radio indicate that majority of them lost their ID Cards and had reapplied for them.
“My name is Benson Okello, a Kibra resident. I had lost my ID about two weeks ago, so I came today to pick it. I hope to get it so that I can vote tomorrow,” said a resident.
“My ID got lost about a month ago, so I applied last week and I hope to get it today because I need to use it tomorrow to vote,” said another resident.
The constitution of Kenya requires one to have a national ID in order to be able to vote.
