Kidero Now Seeking Protection From Sonko
Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has written to Senate Speaker Ekwee Ethuro to complain about “undignified” treatment during a committee sitting in which he and Senator Mike Sonko fought.
In a letter dated June 17, Kidero seeking protection from Sonko.
He has threatened to go to the Supreme Court and explore if he can take legal action against the Senator.
The governor says he honoured a Senate Committee invitation to conclude discussions on an audit report last Wednesday when the altercation happened.
The letter has also been copied to National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, Senate Majority Leader Kithure Attorney General Githu Muigai among others.
