Kidero On The Spot Over Floods That Rocked Nairobi Last Night


NAIROBI FLOOD2A section of Kenyans have taken to social media to cstigate Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero over the floods that hit the city yesterday.

They say the floods were as a result of poor drainage system in the city, most of which have been caused by uncollected garbage.

Under the hashtag Nairobi Floods, the Kenyans are now caling for the resignation of Kidero.

Roads were last night rendered impassable, with some motorist leaving their motor vehicles in the middle of flooded roads.

The roads that were flooded include Kenyatta Avenue, Ojijo Road, Coloboat Road near Stima Plaza and Thika Superhighway between Muthaiha and Utalii.

@wallacemoses95 tweeted, “ A whole HUDUMA KENYA without a generator? KIDERO has failed terribly. I’d rather elect uneducated Waititu as Governor in the next election.”

While some people sharply criticized Kidero, some twitter users defended him saying Kenyans were soley responsible for the poor drainage with regards to littering everywhere.

@Gidiogidi wrote, “In the Sunny days you praise Kibaki for Thika Highway, In the rainy season you blame #Kidero for poor drainage of the same road #Stupidity.”
