Kidero’s Aide Taken To Task Over SMS implying he bribed Supreme Court Judges
Nairobi governor Dr. Evans Kidero’s personal assistant John Osogo has denied having knowledge of the 200 million bribe that was given to Justice Philip Tunoi by Governor Evans Kidero.
Osogo who appeared the tribunal that is investigating the bribery allegations denied claims by Geoffrey Kiplagat that there was ever a meeting between him and Tunoi to discuss the200 million bribe.
Osogo was taken to task over an sms he had written to Kiplagat saying “Hao wana dada wawili tumeshamalizana nao,” which according to Kiplagat meant that the other two ladies sitting on the Supreme Court bench i.e Njoki Ndung’u and Deputy CJ Kalpana Rawal had already been given their share of the bribe.
He however denied that saying that the two ladies in his SMS referred to two ladies working at the county office.
He described his relationship with Kiplagat as one that involved him just sending him lunch money also considering the fact that Kiplagat wanted a job at the county as the director of communication.
“I would give him the money just to get rid of him because the man had really become a pain in my ass,” he said.
“He had also initially applied for a job at the county as director of communications but he could not get the job because he did not attach the vital documents that showed that he had qualified for the job,” he added.
