Kilifi County Chief officer for Fisheries and Blue Economy Rahab Karisa has this morning been stabbed to death by her house help after she returned from a trip to Italy.

Rahab was allegedly fatally stabbed by her house help at her residence in Mnarani Kilifi County.

Kilifi County Police Commander, Fatuma Hadi, confirmed the heartbreaking incident, expressing their resolve to apprehend the suspect swiftly.

As of now, the motive behind the heinous murder remains unknown, leaving investigators to delve into the circumstances surrounding the attack.

“We don’t know the motive but we will know. We are at the scene, “

The Police commander said.

The Police commander said while responding to the distress call, the found Rahab’s lifeless body on the floor with stab wounds.

“We visited the scene and managed to recover the knife used to kill her.she had a visible injury but we hope to get more answers after a post mortem,”

She added.

Colleagues, Friends Shocked

Her colleagues and friends who converged at the scene condemned the killings calling on the police to apprehend the killer.

In April last year Rahab attended a handover ceremony in Mtwapa and Uyombo Kilifi County where six fully loaded fishing boats were donated to the beach management units.

The donation was made possible by the European funded program Go Blue which aims to support local fishing community.

House Help’s Chronicles

Last year police launched a manhunt for a house help who disappeared with Ksh4 million belonging to the then Treasury Chief Administrative Secretary Nelson Gaichuchie.

The incident happened in his house in Karen Nairobi. The family also lost jewellery worth Ksh 500,000

“We had left Ksh 6 million in the wardrobe but when we came back we only found Ksh 2 million and our house help was missing,”Charity Waithera, Gaichuchi’s wife said
