Kilifi County Leading In Violence Against Children
Kilifi County is leading in the number of cases of violence against children in the country.
A report released by the Kenya Network of Beacon Teachers has reported that at least 180 children in Kilifi were subjected to sexual, physical and emotional violence in 2015 and 2016 and only 50 cases have been concluded.
Kilifi is then followed by Kwale, Tana River, Taita Taveta, Lamu and Mombasa respectively.
The network has reported that many abuses countrywide were perpetrated by teachers.
