Kinoti Resigns As DCI Boss


DCI Boss George Kinoti has resigned, president William Ruto has announced.

Ruto announced that he had received Kinoti’s resignation and had relayed his resignation to the National Police Service.

“I have also received the resignation of Director General of CID Mr. Kinoti and I have transmitted the same to the National Police Service to proceed with advertising that position and meanwhile they should get somebody to act in the place of Mr, Kinoti,” said Ruto.

Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai has also proceeded on a terminal leave pending the end of his term.

“This afternoon also, I have received communication from the Inspector General of Police Mr. Mutyambai on his request to proceed on terminal leave because of his health situation,” said Ruto.

Ruto further stated that he already has a name for the person he is proposing to take up Mutyambai’s seat upon vetting by parliament.
