Kisauni Member of Parliament Ali Mbogo will be running for Mombasa County gubernatorial seat in the 2022 General Elections.
The first-term MP elected on a Wiper ticket is the latest candidate to show interest to take over after Governor Joho who is on his second term.
Mbogo, who was addressing the youth in his constituency during the launch of smart driving license enrollment in the sub-county, expressed his interest in the Mombasa top seat.
“I want to request you that come 2022 elections vote for me as Mombasa County Governor,” said Mbogo.
Other leaders who have declared interest in the top County Seat are Mombasa Deputy Governor William Kingi, Mombasa businessman Suleiman Shahbal and Mvita Mp Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir.
