Kidero Supports Anti IEBC Demos
Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has weighed in on the ongoing anti-Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) protests saying they are protected by law though there should be no destruction of property.
Speaking during a fundraising ceremony at Precious Blood school Riruta yesterday, Kidero underscored the need for dialogue backed by good will on the issue.
While welcoming the move by President Uhuru Kenyatta to initiate dialogue, he stressed the need for the views of Kenyans on the matter to be taken into consideration.
Kidero however urged Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) supporters to avoid damaging property in their agitation for the commissioners’ exit as it would adversely affect the economy.
