Kisumu County Assembly Loses Two Senior Staff Members Within Hours

Kisumu County Assembly has lost two senior staffs within a span of six hours.

According to the notice by the Assembly’s Leadership, Kisumu Deputy clerk Nelco Sagwe and senior Human Resource manager Archbishop Lazarus Obera died after a short illness.

Mr. Obera passed on, on Saturday evening while receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu following a short illness.

On the other hand, the Deputy County Clerk Mr. Sagwe passed on Sunday morning at Agan Khan Hospital Kisumu after a short illness too.

Mr. Sagwe’s death comes only few hours after the demise of the county Human Resource Manager Mr. Obera.

On a Press release by the county leadership, the County Assembly of Kisumu condoles with the family and friends of the late Mr. Sagwe and Mr. Obera.

Kisumu County has for quite some time now been labeled the hot spot of the Covid-19 disease in the country.

The rise in the number of infections has even seen the government put in place some regulations in a bid to control the rate of infections.

Some of the precautions put in place by the government include dusk to dawn curfew that begins from 7pm to 4am.

Twelve other counties in the Lake Region have also been placed under curfew and public gatherings also banned.
