Koffi Olomide’s saturday show in Nairobi Kenya is in limbo after two promoters threatened to stop it.

According to reliable sources, the promoters, Jules Nsana and Auma Muga of Nsana Productions are demanding a compensation of 7M from Koffi arising from a 2016 botched show.

The Rhumba maestro’s 2016 concert aborted after being deported from Kenya after assaulting one of his dancers at JKIA.

Uncooperative

The promoters through their legal team, Thiong’o Gachaga of Githumbi & Achoki advocates affirmed that they have tried to reach Koffi in vain.

They were after a refund over their monies spent in 2016 in booking Koffi and his band.

The money being sought from Koffi is $ 50,032 an equivalent of 7.7M and an additional Ksh. 1.4M along with the interest at the current rate from the date of the performance to full clearance.

Information from the promoters indicate that they suffered heavy losses after fulfilling the contract obligations with the singer.

These included performance deposit, airfare, accommodation, transport charges and venue fees.

The Andrada singer has now been issued with a 12 hour ultimatum or risk his show going up in smoke.

Koffi Olomide had already jetted into the country for the saturday showpiece scheduled at the Jamhuri Showground along Ngong Road.
