Larry Madowo To Make A Comeback In Nairobi As CNN Correspondent
Kenyan International Journalist Larry Madowo is set to make a comeback in Nairobi, this is after CNN hired him as its Nairobi based correspondent.
Madowo who is currently reporting for the BBC as its North America Correspondent takes to CNN his rich political, business and entertainment news coverage.
His hiring was announced by CNN International’s Managing Editor and Senior Vice President Of International newsgathering Deborah Rayner.
“Larry is an experienced journalist whose expertise across politics, business, entertainment and hard news stories will play into our diverse coverage of East Africa and Beyond,” said Rayner.
“I have enjoyed reporting from the U.S and around the world, but it’s a real privilege to return to covering Africa at such a critiucal time in Kenya and around the continent,” said Madowo.
“I have long admired CNN’s International’s award-winning coverage, and I’m honored to be joining such a talented team,” he stated.
Madowo started his journalism career at KTN before moving to CNBC then back to NTV and finally went to BBC.
