Lecturers Plan Mega Demonstrations Across The Country Tomorrow

The University Academic Staff Unions has planned mega demonstrations in all major towns from tomorrow to push the government to recognize their 2013-2017 collective bargaining agreement that is yet to be implemented.

Speaking to Ghetto Radio News UASU national vice chairman Joseph Mberia says lecturers have been waiting for the last 4 years to have the CBA implemented but all in vein as government continues to sabotage talks on the same.

In the 2013-2017 CBA lecturers demands 30% pay rise for the basic salaries and  20%  pay rise for the house allowance all compounded  in 3-4 years.

The lecturers strike has hit one month with learning paralysed in all public universities.
