Jamaican singer-songwriter Lila Iké is stepping confidently into her inaugural full-length era with the announcement of her debut album, Treasure Self Love.
Scheduled for release on August 22, 2025, via Wurl Ike Records and In.Digg.Nation Collective, under exclusive license to Ineffable Records, the album arrives alongside a promotional single and music video, Romantic, featuring dancehall powerhouse Masicka.
Romantic is a fresh, sultry reinterpretation of Patra’s 1994 classic “Romantic Call” (which originally featured Yo‑Yo and peaked at No. 55 on the Billboard Hot 100).
Lila’s version amplifies its timeless appeal by incorporating Patra’s vocals in the intro and outro. The production credit goes to British‑Ghanaian Juls and Jamaican hitmaker Dunw3ll.
The music video, directed by Shane Creative, pays homage to 90s dancehall vibes: expect shimmering outfits, bold choreography, and unapologetic “dancehall queen” energy .
Lila shared that the track is “a tribute to dancehall and the queens who made space for us, women like Patra… bold, sensual, and unapologetic,” adding that Masicka’s contribution brings “fire and balance,” and that featuring Patra offers a powerful “full circle moment”.
Treasure Self Love features 11 tracks and includes collaborations with artists across genres, such as H.E.R., Joey Bada$$, Protoje, and Maverick Sabre.
Among the prospective standouts are previously released singles “He Loves Us Both,” “Fry Plantain,” and “Too Late to Lie” .
This release continues Lila’s ascent following her 2020 breakout EP The ExPerience, cementing her space in the global music landscape. Fans can also catch her debut performance at Reggae Sumfest on July 19, 2025, in Montego Bay.
