Nairobi, Naivasha road was today morning rendered impassable after angry traders held demonstrations demanding compensation for a lorry burnt in Kitui three weeks ago.

The traders deflated over 100 vehicles on the highway, causing a massive traffic snarl-up to demand compensation for a lorry that was destroyed in Kitui County three weeks ago.

The lorry was torched after a video showing Governor Charity Ngilu allegedly telling Kitui County youth to burn down all vehicles carrying charcoal went viral.

Governor Ngilu was today summoned by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) over her alleged incitement remarks.

She was accompanied by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka at the NCIC headquarters where she had been summoned.
