The Nairobi County Liquor Licensing Board is now asking the Nairobi County government to reconsider the license issuance procedures for the alcoholic dealers in the city.

Vincent Ooko the liquor board member says most of the bar owners do not have the licences due to hefty licensing fees imposed by the county.

As a regulator the board claims that the police have been using the same advantage to collect bribes from bar operators on daily basis.

Ooko is proposing that the licenses be paid in cash but in installments to eradicate the on-going harassment perpetrated by the police.
