Liverpool could be without as many as 11 players for the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea this weekend following the win over Luton
As the Reds prepare to face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley, Jürgen Klopp is facing a major injury crisis in his squad.
Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Dominik Szoboszlai will all face “last minute” fitness tests ahead of Liverpool’s Carabao Cup final with Chelsea.
All three players missed Liverpool’s midweek 3-1 win over Luton with various injuries but have been training ahead of Sunday’s showpiece final.

Carabao Cup Final
Liverpool assistant boss Pep Lijnders said: “Dom [Szoboszlai], Darwin [Nunez] and Mo [Salah] we have to see. We have two more days, today and tomorrow’s session, and at the last minute we will check to see if they can be there. It would be great.”
The Reds fought back from a goal down at Anfield to claim a 4-1 victory on Wednesday night.

Darwin Núñez and Mohamed Salah
Klopp opted not to risk either Núñez or Salah against Luton after both picked up knocks at Brentford on Saturday.
Uruguayan striker Núñez didn’t appear for the second half while Salah finished the game, having only returned from his previous lay-off.
Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones
The Liverpool pair were both forced off against Brentford and face extended spells on the sidelines.

Dominik Szoboszlai and Trent Alexander-Arnold
Liverpool vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold had already been ruled out of the Carabao Cup final after he aggravated a knee injury earlier this month.
.”All the little bit longer-term like Trent and Dom, they are on their way back but not in team training yet, so that means they are not available as well. That’s the situation, let me say it like that,” Klopp said this week.
Thiago Alcântara and Stefan Bajčetić
The Spaniard had been out of action since the summer with a hip problem before appearing as a late substitute. But it was confirmed within a couple of days that he had suffered another setback.
Bajčetić meanwhile has had his own injury problems and has managed just a handful of outings this season after suffering a recurrence of an adductor problem.
