An organisation trading as Operation Linda Ugatuzi has filed an urgent application seeking challenging the appointment of Musalia Mudavadi, Harriet Chiggai and Monica Kathina to the cabinet.
The organisation, through its director Fred Ogolla says the appointment of the three is unlawful and unconstitutional.
Professor urges that their position is not enshrined in the constitution he wants the court to make a findings that the appointment and the subsequent gazette 5 illegal.

He points out in his petition that the three takes home a cool ksh 3.9 billion a year, which at the end of President William Ruto’s tenure they would have earned at a total of ksh 9.5 billions that should considered illegal.
“We in fact challenge the entire constitutive composition of the cabinet of the Republic of Kenya for failing to comply with the constitutional dictates on gender balance, inclusion of persons with disability and the youth.” Prof Ogolla says in his application
Professor Ogolla further detailed that the cabinet as presently constituted fails to comply with the constitutional gender principle that not more than two-thirds of elective and appointive bodies should comprise of the same gender.
