 Cycling Series Promotes Sport in Kenya

LOOP Digital Financial Services (LOOP DFS) and Team AMANI are gearing up for the third leg of the 2024 LOOP Safari Gravel Series. HBO

The event will take place at Hell’s Gate National Park in Naivasha on June 15, 2024.

The series aims to make cycling safe, accessible, and enjoyable for Kenyans. “We are excited to host this leg after successful events in Tatu City and Iten,” said Gloria Akinyi, LOOP DFS’ Chief People Officer.

She noted a positive shift in Kenyans’ attitudes towards cycling since the series began.

Showcasing Kenya’s Landscapes

The LOOP Safari Gravel Series highlights Kenya’s beautiful landscapes.

Major cycling events are organized around Mt. Kenya, the Coast, Nairobi, and the Rift Valley.

Hanifa Said, Chief Operating Officer of Team AMANI, emphasized the series’ goal to elevate cycling in Kenya.

“The purpose of this series is to elevate cycling, involve more people, and grow our talent pool,” Said explained.

She also noted that the series aims to position Kenya as a global cycling destination.

 Upcoming Event Details

The Naivasha event features three race categories: the 20km LOOP, 60km LOOP, and 120km LOOP.

The event attracts both local and international riders. Interested participants can register on the Safari series website.

The races welcome professional and amateur riders. The public is encouraged to attend to follow the action and enjoy the excitement at the LOOP village.

Besides cycling, the event will offer various family-friendly activities.

The hospitality area will feature music, games, and opportunities to learn about the LOOP brand.
