Low turn out in Kisumu for Black Panther Premier after Lupita fails to attend

Kisumu residents who were expecting to be graced by Oscar wining actress Lupita Nyong’o during the premier of Black Panther did not grace the event in large numbers as expected after she failed to turn up.

Early indications had been of the view that Lupita was to fly to her native home town to attend the premier after the lake side city was honored to showcase the movie before it premieres in theaters on February 16 worldwide.

Fans across the country were eager to meet the Hollywood star together with a surprise co-star during the premier but were disapointed to learn about her absence during the premier.

Some of the fans from different counties had even scheduled to attend the premier but cancelled when media outlets revealed the sassy Lupita had not jetted in as was expected.

Despite the low turn out however the premier went on and those that attended say Black Panther is one of 2018’s best movies hailing the views of critics worldwide.

Among the guest list were Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o and Raila Odinga together with the who is who in Kisumu’s entertainment industry.
