“We opened at 7.30 am for the exercise so far there is low voter turnout but the process is peaceful..we have two polling stations Kahawa Wendani Primary with 20 streams and chief’s camp with seven streams,” an IEBC official told Ghetto Radio News.

Top contestant who is jubilee flag bearer Kevin Ochieng has asked the IEBC to at least extend the closing time to accommodate those who will be back from work.

“Today is on a weekday we expect more voters to turn up by evening, I want to ask IEBC to give an extension to the closing time so that these voters can exercise their democratic rights,” Ochieng said.

Meanwhile over 30 police officers are Manning the stations.
