The entry of media personality Majimaji Julius Owino into ODM Party has sent shivers to Seme Member of Parliament James Nyikal forcing him back to the drawing board.

The 73 year old Member of Parliament is facing stiff competition for the ODM ticket in 2022 with Majimaji being his arch-rival

Majimaji was this week at Chungwa House where he registered as life member of ODM something that seemingly did not go down well with Nyikal.

He apparently visited Chungwa House to counter Majimaji’s growing influence in Seme and ODM Party.

Photos shared in social media platforms show Nyikal having a disturbed moment with ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.

Majimaji’s entry into ODM has been described by the party as a major scope to anchor more youths in preparation for 2022 General Elections.

ODM Party Raila Odinga has been categorical on his quest to inject new blood into the party.

Addressing the media at Chungwa House ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna applauded Majimaji’s entry saying youths will be heard in the party.

‘‘It is a big thing to have Majimaji joining us he will inspire many and as a party we have also started a recruitment drive which will run for three months starting July and we waived membership fees because of corona and we are encouraging everyone to join,’’ Sifuna said.

Majimaji on the other hand promised to deliver Seme seat saying his main vision is to change leadership narrative and to serve wananchi.

‘‘Politics is the second part of leadership but before that ODM has leaders. Kenyans need leadership not politics the rest know what they are doing so what I want and for the generation behind is servant leadership,” Majimaji said.
