A young man on Friday shocked Kenyans when he single handedly held a protest seeking the recognition and support of students who scored grade E in KCSE.
Ayub Simba Chairman of the E-graders association was the talk of town after he went one man on streets of CBD wearing a short and a trouser to protest seeking the recruitment of youths who attained E grade to be consider in NYS recruitment .
The NYS recruitment that ended last week on Friday was admitting youths who attained a minimum D plain locking out those who attained grade E.
Simba says that the reason he was protesting with a short and a trouser was to signify that the E grade youths went through primary and later high school showing they are not recognised.
“Members of the E- Graders Association missed out on the NYS recruitment last year because if this ambiguous grade requirement. We are asking the government to kindly review this in order to accommodate us, ” he stated.
Simba’s move astonished a section of the public with some thinking that he had somehow gone crazy.
The E Graders Association was started a few years ago after a number of high school students scored a mean grade of E following the stringent measures put in place by former Education CS Fred Matiang’i.
